On the coast, in the harbour or at the pool, standard outdoor LEDs fail within 12-24 months: salt mist and chloride ions attack aluminium, plastic and solder joints; UV yellows plastics; high humidity accelerates corrosion on the solder side. SIGNATURE MARINA is built entirely against this stress – with multi-layer protection: electrophoretically blackened aluminium base shell (automotive-paint process), nano-vacuum magnetron coating on the modules (95 % light transmission), stainless-steel locks, gold-wire-bonded LEDs and 24-h penetration coating on power supply and receiver card. 12 factory tests including salt spray, UV, immersion and hot/cold cycling secure the TÜV-compliant IP66 rating.

What sets the SIGNATURE MARINA apart

Electrophoretic aluminium base shell

Black coating using the same electrophoretic process as car bodies: even, dense, strongly bonded – superior hardness and corrosion resistance against salt mist and chloride ions.

Nano-vacuum magnetron coating on modules

Hydrophobic nano layer (30–50 µm, 95 % light transmission). Improves surface uniformity by 10 %, corrosion resistance by 30 %, significantly higher UV resistance. Passed: ROHS (SGS) + neutral salt spray (NSS).

24-h penetration coating on electronics

Modules, power supplies and receiver cards are coated for 24 h penetration – no water ingress, no salt attack on solder joints or components.

Gold-wire-bonded LEDs for coastal use

LED lamp beads with gold bond wire instead of standard copper: virtually corrosion-free, durable even in chloride-laden air.

Stainless-steel locks · TÜV-IP66

Mechanism lock + screw fixation + lock piece entirely stainless steel. T-connector SMl/F20 with plug-and-socket protection. Front and rear service without corrosion risk.

12-step factory tested

AOI, conformal coating, module potting, air tightness, fire proof, waterproof, water-gun spray, immersion, UV, hot/cold, transport vibration and salt-spray testing in the factory – BEFORE the cabinet leaves the line.

Electrophoretic black coating of the base shell

Just like a car body: charged paint particles migrate in the electric field to the counter-electrode and deposit evenly, densely and adherently on the aluminium base shell. The result is superior hardness, adhesion and corrosion resistance – even on complex geometries. Black is standard.

Nano-vacuum magnetron coating of modules

In a vacuum, cleaned modules are coated with a high-purity 30–50 µm hydrophobic film (magnetron sputtering). Result: 95 % light transmission, +10 % surface uniformity, +30 % corrosion resistance, significantly higher UV resistance. Eco-friendly nano solution, ROHS certified (SGS), neutral-salt-spray tested.
